Infrastructure/System Architecture – Creation of software and hardware infrastructure the enables data collection, retrieval and analytical tool implementation both for purposes of validation and clinical decision support.
Critical Care Physiobanking – Generation of verified, labeled data sets and collaboration with outside institutions to create interoperability that augments research capabilities in the field as well as linkage to other data banks (e.g. genomic, and the electronic health record).
Clinical Data Science – Development of the science of ensuring data quality, error quantification, imputation and extrapolation. An additional aim is to refine and characterize analytical techniques and approaches to physiological data that are scalable to other questions.
Clinical Translational Engineering – Focused both on augmenting capture of data and on translation of insight at the point of care.
